Default Custom Rear Mount Questions

Ok guys Im about to start purchasing stuff for a rear mount turbo set up. I have a few questions and was hoping someone could help out.

What size piping would be best from the manifolds to the turbo? I was thinking 2.25 or 2.5 what do you guys think? What about the piping up to the intercooler? again I was thinking 2.25 or 2.5. Also should I use steel for the exhaust and aluminum for the intake?

How long of a steel braided hose do I need to reach the turbo? and how long to I need to reach the oil cap?

I plan on buying the stuff below. My goals are pretty simple. Im trying to make around 425-450rwhp on 5psi or so on the stock shortblock.

Master Power T70
Tial 38mm Wastegate
Tial 50mm BOV
Mocal Oil Pump
Stainless Steel Braided Hoses
42lb Injectors
Walbro 255 Fuel Pump
Ebay Intercooler

Any tips or tricks you guys would suggest?

Why not just buy a STS kit to start with or find a used one in the classifieds?

2.5 is fine for both the IC tubing and exhaust tubing. Can you weld aluminum if needed, just a thought if you were to use it and had to weld it at some point. Might be easier to just use mild steel.

10-15ft on the hoses....be pretty easy to answer that one yourself if you crawled under the car and measured.

no tips or tricks to get to your hp goal, should be easy enough to hit with the components you listed above.

figured you'd be done asking questions by now and had some form of FI on your car at this point.

I had a P1SC Procharger kit, 347 short block and a Moser 12 bolt ready to go in. But about a year and a half ago I lost my job and was out of work for 8 months. I had to sell eveything. Sucks.....Just now getting enough on my feet to start a new build.

Hell I really dont care about numbers. I just want to have some fun. The car is not my daily driver. If I can get another 100rwhp out of it Im sure I will be happy.

use the 2.5" exhaust for faster spoolup. Are you going to run stock manifolds? those will also help out in that area.

for the charge piping, use 2.25" or 2.5" to the intercooler. After, use the same diameter as the outlet. I have a 3" ic outlet, so thats what I have up to the MAF, which then extends to 3.5" and then to 4" for the TB.

Well I actually sold the long tubes and y-pipe. I am back to using stock manifolds and y-pipe. I do plan on getting rid of the cats with another y-pipe though.
