5.3 guys... head gasket/cam quesiton

i just picked up my shortblock and i want to know which head gasket to get? and also on the cam... i seen a lot of people using the ls6 cam, not sure if they are using this since its cheap or should i get a custom cam??? im using the 317 heads

cometic and arp head bolts or studs..
the Ls6 cam is used because of its boost friendly specs, price and availability not to mention the ease of tunability. Ls6 cam '02 up
