Default Budget turbo / WG / BOV?

Helping a friend put something together and he is wanting to to turbo but on a tight budget. Already has a forged 347ci (needs to swap slugs out though) and not to sure what to do. Looking to get 700-800rwhp out of it. Can anyone guide us to a budget turbo that can be found on e-bay or used somewhere? Thanks in advance.

Master power turbos seem very good for the money. Guy at local track was running great with one for season or two,he sold car but don't think turbo let him down.
For gates if you are going external sorry but stick to brand names. Tial is high quality or turbosmart ,but make sure you buy genuine not knock offs. Again like tial or turbosmart blow off. Same thing on knock offs.
Local guy was running JGS I think for his blow off and gate. Again they seemed to work ok but tial and turbosmart have been around forever.
At least with these three things decent quality the rest is not as important. Although some cheap intercoolers are crap, inefficient and leak. Piping..well beaded is nice ,and important to get good t bolt clamps not worm gear and good silicone couplers.
Proper fuel support and tuning or say bye bye fast to the engine.
And if you really want to see 800rwhp you are going to have to spend more than you think on fuel system..and of course going to be breaking things in drivetrain if that isn't top of line stuff.
You didn't mention what kind of car..auto or manual etc.
Experience has shown me that cheap and FI don't go together that well although some seem to be doing ok with some budget setups.

He was wondering it there was a more inexpensive factory turbo he might be able to use. I see some people using holset turbo.

If memory serves, the fuel system is up to par. -10 to dual walbro's, then -8 to the rails with a -6 return.

Vehicles an auto but a highbryd..

tell him to get a s400, I think you can get one for around $600 new iirc. and it will get him to the range he's shooting for.

master powers are good and cheap, but a t70 (the cheap one) will not make that power.

A s400 will, but it is a large frame turbo.

Your other option would be a used t76

Check theturboforums.com on the classifieds.

Use XO2 BOV's and WG....They are UBER-cheap ($250 for both) and work great...we are using them on a 1000+ Hp setup with no problems and great accuracy.
