Default forged 370 pt88 build

just started my build, had ported l92's and nitrous on car, went 10's and now decided it was time to step my game up lol, traded my topend for a turbo parts with hot parts already made..

have a pair of ported 317's on the way, griffin radiator, ls6 intake, etc.

pretty excited about the whole thing, been watching this forum for some time now lol...

here's some pics of what I have done so far, probably not gonna drive it for a month or 2 cause I wanna build the fuel system alittle bigger and possibly run e85

had to modify the upper and lower rad supports for the new griffin in the mail

cutout the front bumper for more flow

mounted up the intercooler

and of course the money maker a PT88

and a pic of it installed used some crappy heads I had lying around to mock it up

Not sure why you have a motor plate at this power level??

Dont see how it would hurt me any, it allows more room for a bigger downpipe without the pedestals ( i could prob fit a 5" pipe through there now) and with the setup i have im capable of about 900 rwhp +, and if i ever wanted to fit a t6 turbo in there the plate would be causing the fitment issue

Looks pretty low in there. Do you have enough drop for the drain? Or were you planning on using a pump?

I never indicated it would hurt you. You dont see motor plates in cars making 900hp because its simply not needed. 1500-2000hp cars they are mandatory. If it fits a larger DP thats awesome although that pt88 is never going to need a 5 inch.

he's being sarcastic !!! meaning the mistake of him ordering a mount-less k-member and having a motor plate will be beneficial in the long run when he decides to make 1500 h.p.(he won't have to install a motor plate cause its already there.)

well i guess u could say why did i take my heat out, or put a lightweight carpet in place of the sound deadening material and stock carpet lol...

and this plate ties in the front end and i think would help stiffen everything up and about the downpipe thing was to state that it would make life easier to make more power with the plate, and i dont think a 41/2" downpipe would hurt a 370 with an 88mmturbo

and as for the alternator im gonna squeeze it where the ac compressor normally goes, its tight but ordered a standoff bolt from granger and gonna put it in the bottom corner bolt for the timming cover bolt and use that as a pivot...and if it doesnt work out then ill just put above passenger sid valvecover

So I got my car goin alittle over a month ago now, and made some changes along the way

-I was overheating with the single spal 14" pusher, switched over to a jegs dual 12" pusher and shroud assembly, stays at 180 and below at all times now

- remade the crappy 4" down pipe with a nice 4" stainless one and made an exhaust that dumps at the axle with a magnaflow muffler, all stainless and sexy lol

- added a second walbro to activate off a hobbs switch, and switched over to E85

- got rid of the ugly *** halo headlights and whistler modded some stock ones lol

- painted my zr1 wheels a texture matte black and wrapped them in 315 mickey thompson DR's, bought front prostars and painted them to match the zr1's

- installed ARP M12 x 3.25" wheel studs all around

- changed out spring on my jgs 50mm WG for the heaviest one they sell

So Ive been making some progress between working on other peoples cars lol...Now this weekend I'm trading my T56 setup for a built TH400 setup which i am phsyced about lol, I cant stand this boost lag between shifts

And so far I'm up to about 13psi and 18* of timing, so Im still playing with the boost controller but I notice in my logs that my manifold KPA is jumping around quite a bit approx +/- 5kpa, not sure if it the manual boost controller causing it or maybe some other issue....but damn its starting to really feel nice
I'll get some pics up later today of how its looking, definately pretty badass for sure

so I got the th400 in and everything, just waiting on a new crossmember cause the one I got didnt have a torquearm mount on it, also put a a ported throttlebody on and found a 3/8" boostleak on the throttlebody lol, so I guess that explains why my car didnt seem to feel as fast as I woulda expected when going from 9psi to 13psi and why my boost pressure was jumping around like crazy...

Have a track rental lined up for tuesday so i should have some numbers by then as long as this crossmember get here
