does an x or h pipe after turbos do anything?
i am building some duel 3" exhaust for my g8. turbos are mounted where the cats normaly sit. is there any use in an x or h pipe? from what i understand the idea of an x/h pipe is to smooth the pulses but i an 99% sure the turbos are doing that.
i could fit an h pipe in there pretty easy right before the pipes meet up but i am thinking there is no point. what do you guys think?

I agree. No point as there is no scavanging to be had. The only thing that you would benefit from would be that having an H-pipe would allow you to weld a bung in to it and get an average WBO2 reading from both sides (if you are only using one WBO2 sensor on a twin setup).

Exactly.
I did this on my old Rover V8 TT, and the difference in sound from seperate sytems, was quite marked. Much quieted and smoother sound with a H pipe.
Also consider this, especially as you seem to have two pipes side by side.

Whilst there may be no scavenging etc. The sooner the exhaust see's open air, or enough volume that it feels like an open pipe, the better.
So these termination boxes with huge volume in the exhaust may work very well ??
In a similar fashion to turbo's liking to have large downpipes to assist the free exit of gasses from the turbo.
Just a thought, never used one of these types of systems before.
