Default FYI Truck Manifold Guys

Just test fit a passenger 98 f body manifold on the driver side, fit just like a truck manifold. The 98 F-body manifolds appear to be exact copies of the truck manifolds but in extruded stainless.

Just an FYI because these are stainless, it would be easy to weld a v band right to them without the complications of trying to weld to cast iron.

Im going to test fit the pass side whenever i can get a change. The big plus on these are that a stainless pipe or v band can be easily welded to them.

if so I dont see any real gains of doing one side and not being able to do the other side the same way... then you will still ahve two different metals on opposite sides...

we used a pass side F body manifold for the drivers side of the 99 mustang 6.0 T76 build we did. Welded a V band to it and crossed it over to the drivers side log. Plug and wrires all fit well and cleared the steering. Don't know about the P/S pump as I used the ford unit. it was smaller and had a remote res.

I'm really interested in this for my conversion to put the turbos up by the valve covers.

ARE THERE ANY OTHER MANIFOLDS THAT ARE WELDABLE? Or just the 98 F-bodies?

Ive seen people weld v bands to a cast manifold. its much easier to just try with a 98 manifold which is almost identical to a truck manifold, but in extruded stainless.
