Default familiar with prochargers? looky in here.

i have the chance to pick up what i think is a killer deal on a f3r procharger. the question i want to know is what do these normally go for with the brackets, head unit and drives? this unit is new never used.

also whats the difference between a f3 and and f3r?

is this blower too much for an lsx purpose built small block?

sorry guys, i'm into turbos this will be my first procharger purchase(if i buy.)

not sure on pricing of kit but that head unit is a little over 3000 dollars itself if i remember correct and you could put the rest together for another 1500 to 2000 or cheaper if you got used stuff

it may be a little overkill for a street car and if it is going in an f-body you will have to make room for it to fit

If I remember correctly you cant run a F-2 or larger on brackets. When you buy from procharger they give you contact for a direct drive manufacturer in AZ i think.

Not true, I'm running an F2 on std fbody style J brackets (mine are chromoly) - but I've added additional bracing just to be safe

i didnt price the f3 but a f1 unit brand new was 2800 dollars and i cant imagine the f3 would be twice the price

i looked earlier but i cant find the price sheet i had

not sure what you are looking to do but you can get a d1sc for $2400 brand new and you dont have to do any modding to make it fit

guys are getting up to 800 rwhp and there are some 8 second 1/4 mile passes on that head unit

I would guess the price around 5000 for that head unit, but it will be hard to use if you are not trying for 1800hp+. It would be best to plan on a gear drive if you want that type of power.

Didnt say you couldnt do it lol. Procharger wont sell a new F-2 and above with brackets because normally it doesnt last and breaks ****. You could piece it out but they wont sell a new head unit with brackets. You bought it seperate or used lol. Call procharger for more info.

i figured it would be a lot easier to just get some opinions/prices on here. i'm not going to start calling shops when i have no intention of buying anything from them.

That is way too much blower. You would be much happier with an F1C or F1R up to and past 1200rwhp.

I'd argue to that claim. Most running even the F1R that have maxed them out fall short of cracking 1K to the tire. The ones that have and I know of I can count on one hand. That's why I sold my new F1R and went F2.

excellent! the gentleman told me he paid 5300 for it and i didnt believe him.

guys, i have a tendency to buy stuff just cause its killer for the money and then build the combo later. i don't have a dedicated motor or even a horsepower number in mind yet. just saw an oppurtunity to capitalize on a decent deal for a never used blower setup.

A purpose built LSX small block like the OP mentioned coulde mean a 440+ cubic inch LSX block with unlimited heads and intake. That is why I say it is possible with the F1x. OP, are you limited to a certain number of inches?

Its only a decent deal if you can make use of any of the parts. If they are in no way suitable, then its a waste of money.

So do you have the means/ability and interest to build a 1800bhp+ car ?

Hmmmm. The 2 builds I have saved don't designate rearwheel hp or flywheel hp. Could be they were 1156 and 1202 FLYWHEEL horsepower. None-the-less; that is way more than you can use on the street. I also wonder if the OP is just interested in blowing money on parts since he does not seem to have a car to put it in yet. I say save the money required to buy the F3 and buy the F1C instead.
