Default Relocated alternator to passenger head and no power steering pump?

Like all truck manifold builds the alternator needs relocated to the passenger side head. I have decided to ditch the power steering in favor of more room for the driver side downpipe..... How can I make the belt run the water pump without any pulleys on the driver side???? I'm sure I'm not the only one who has run into this problem. Besides an electric water pump (not in the budget right now), what are my other options???

Moving the alt. to the driver's side head won't fix the issue. All I need is some sort of idler pulley for the driver side/passenger side.

I'd like to see pics of what other guys are doing

What accessories are you running? On my fbody I pulled off the alternator and move it to the passenger side head then left the idler pulley where it was.

If youre running the truck manifolds, there should be plenty of room for a downpipe while retaining the power steering. Unless you have a 100mm+ turbo and have like a 5" DP.

I'm running alt. and water pump only. There will be a down pipe off of each turbo. They will be 3.5" downpipes.

Why won't moving it to the driverside fix the issue? I'm curious.
That way the only accesories you have are the alternator, tensioner and water pump.

I guess I could put a tensioner on the passenger side head and move the alt. to the drivers side. Is there any reason I can't put the tensioner ( which I don't have) on the drivers side?

well i suppose you could fab a tensioner to the driver side head and put the alternator on the passenger side head, but the tensioner is already on the passenger side head stock so its just easiest to keep it there and put the alternator on the driver side head.

somone does make a bracket (I cant remember who but I saw it on here) that mounts the F body alt on the drivers side head with no P/S and uses the stock tensioner. It was $149 I believe.

They're not the best pictures but I used the stock water pump with a relocated alt. and no p.s. I used a smokinHawk bracket and once I figured out the right belt, it's worked great and hasn't thrown any belts. I thought it might slip on the w.p. but I don't have any overheating issues. It seems to be fine. There are no pulleys on my driver side.

That is exactly what I was wondering. Wasn't sure if that would work or not. Never thought there would be enough of the belt on the w.p. that way.... Thanks for that pic!

Anybody else run their belt that way?
