Default Will the turbo crack the manifolds?

HI!
Im totally new to this type of fabrication and doesnt have experience with how much stress i can put on the manifolds.

The turbo is huge and weights quite a bit!

I found two options for the turbo.
1. In the middle of the engine bay, far enaugh away from the TB to have some space for a 90 degree intake pipe.

2. Offset to the drivers side so i can get lower temp on the intake pipe and more space for the downpipe.

(i know it looks high but its just the picture. Its high enaugh to give me about 30degrees on the oil return for the turbo)

All inputs are welcome! Except for going NA / different turbo

Thanks in advance,
Sindre

Is it usual to make support bars? I was thinking that it might crack anyway. That turbo is probably 30pounds.

ive been looking at some pictures of different front mounts but havnt seen anything similar with that turbo size.

Yea as easy as it would be to make some kind of bracket or support structure I would for sure do that, what turbo is that?

Thanks for the replies!
I have room for a support bar. Making one from the engine to the turbo without any flex bends is the route i probably go.

It is a Garrett GT42 turbo with AR 1.15 T6

If the motor is going to be solid mounted then mount it to the frame with some flex joints like you said. If not solid mounted move it closer to the engine and make a brace to the motor.

The motor is on solid rubber mounts. I cant get it closer to the engine since it will either be to close to the TB or to the left inner fender. I cant go to the right of the TB because of the space i need for 4" dp..

Im going to take a look tonight how far away from the engine the turbo will be placed. How far is "max"? Its 500 usd for two flex joints here in norway

Im not starting a new thread but got some more questions.

First of all.. I welded the 4" vband to the turbo exhaust without pre heat. Will it crack? Welded it with TIG stainless 316 rod.

Im also unsure where to mount the wastegate(S). I have room for two but i cant get a really good angle between the tubes. Do you guys think i need two wastegates? Im only going for .5 bar (stock internals atm).

If you see something else you think i should change please let me know!
