Have a bunch of engines and heads and cant decide on what to build
My mustang is currently a ls1, th350 setup, but ive also got a 0 mile 99 5.3 iron block on an engine stand as well as a 70k pullout 6.0/4l80e from an 05 savana van. Ive got an extra set of 317s laying around as well. My ls1 has ported 853s also, but the compression ratio is bumped a tad cuz theyve been shaved. I was debating putting 317s on the 5.3 and running it with the 4l80e, then building the LQ4 up, then i also thought about 317'ing the ls1 and running that with the 4l80e. or else just drop the lq4, 4l80e setup in and see what itll take
Why cant this be easy. Plans are to keep it on E85, shooting for 600rwhp. Whatever motor it gets will be getting LS9 head gaskets, arp rod bolts, and headstuds, as well as a 2002+ LS6 Cam. I am debating whether to go with a victor jr. style intake, or else run my current LS6. Ive got a truck intake too, but havent heard much on how they run on boosted motors
Anyone have any input?
