white smoke from intake area

Default white smoke from intake area

started car this moring and im gettin alot of white smoke from the intake area, looks like the rear of the manifold. I though the smoke would go away but she keeps smoking. what should i check first?

I had this problem on my s10, I had a blown intake manifold gasket that was leaking coolant onto the back of the block and transmission, burning it causing it to smoke.

Water doesn't flow through the intakes on LS motors.

I know lol, I was thinking more along the lines of a head gasket leaking on the backside, I just failed to mention that part. I just woke up lol

White smoke can also indicate unburnt, vaporized fuel. I would definitely check manifold seating and bolts, as well as uncapped nipples and (hopefully not) cracks.

i bought a vacuum gauge, everything is cool now, thanks. engine holds at 20 psi thru the brake booster
