Default Another stupid how much power will i make question(need to pick clutch)

Going to be installing a TSP 402 with 9:1 compression slightly ported 317 heads 230/236 .612/.602 115LSA 112ICL running an sts rear mount intercooled with water meth and a tc 78 turbo.
Need to pick a clutch was thinking monster stage 4 should handle it(775tq)maybe need a stage 5(825tq) i hear the stage 4 is a lot beter for the street.
Do you think I'll make too much power for the stage 4??

Do you drive on the street a lot? You have the potential with that turbo and methanol to be right up there with both of them. That's flywheel torque they are rated for correct? Assuming 15% drivetrain losses, that's like 650rwtq for the stage 4 and 700rwtq for the stage 5. What are your goals? I would fiqure out what that turbo can do on kill and base your decision on that. Give forced inductions a call maybe?

Edit: You may need a clutch rated for more than what you listed.

I m looking at monsters clutches also, But this dam ram hd + has been a trooper I never had clutch slip, from a number of 5th gear highway pulls and racing. Bump to the top for some real world info on monsters clutches. And to the op, I would look at the gts series 78mm turbo. I made the switch from the 76 gts to the 78 gts and lost 100 rpm in spooling, but mid range and top end was amazing lol I really never retuned for the more air it way fat on the top end hell the afr guage flash twice on me befor I let out. But its around 10.2 with out meth.

I would consider a twin disc for bigger power and street driving. Usually get much nicer pedal pressure and likely can run less aggressive disc materials.

I had tex twin which was good for pedal pressure but didn't think it was all that street friendly.I went to 4l80 swap but would have tried mcleod or spec twin discs next.

I was going to go with the Mcleod rxt or rst. Then I was talking to Jon at texas speed and he said they had some issues with them. So he recommended the monster.

Personally I recommend an auto but sometimes guys have to burn thru a bunch of money with the sticks before they realize that it's futile.

If it was a track car only it would be no question on going auto but as a fun street car I can't see it

You will. That thing is going to be a ridiculous torque monster with a 408 and a 78mm. The great thing about all that low end power is that you can go to a very close ratio rear gear and not suffer too badly performance wise (as compared to another auto).
