Is that the 6" tall version or the 9"? I'm going with the the 6" tall one on my TT GTO build. Using twin Billet 62s. Except I'm making my own outlet for the intercooler. How much power you going to run through it? The 6" version flows enough for 1000+ and the 9" flows enough for 1300.

I have the small treadstone, and its pretty efficient. Cools the charge on my twin .57mm just fine. My WOT IAT's dont exceed 110-112 on warms days even.

The sizes are 25"x3.5"x6" and 25"x3.5"x9". They flow close to if not more than 2000 cfm if I remember correctly with their verticle-flow design. I also believe there is one that is 27" wide but is only 3" thick. I went with the thicker one as it should have better cooling characteristics. There are lots of people making good power with these treadstone IC's.

I'm going with 62's on my 346 as well. I'm going to use the 25"x3.5"x6" treadstone IC for mine. As bravoboost said they keep the temps pretty cool especially at WOT where you want them cool.

Also running the 6" verson with twin GT3071r's. IAT's never break 100-110 even in the summer. I also run Meth but my nozzle is after the IAT sensor that's in the MAF.

I'm using the 9" version on my build. Looks like a very nice piece for the $$$. It welds nice too

A horizontal flow intercooler will do a better job of cooling the air as the tubes are longer
and the air is in contact with the core for a longer period of time.

True, but with a verticle there are more tubes to cool the air. A verticle really shines when it comes to flowing more than a horizontal. A verticle has a lot of short tubes that don't restrict the air for long distances where a horizontal would. Just my opinion. Both types work well though.

extremely!
a comparable Bell custom made cooler will run 1k or more.
I also question their flow ratings.

incorrect!
the longer the tube, as in a cross flow design, the greater the pressure loss across that tube, and very small increase in efficiency(heat exchange).

Most of the heat exchange is done in the first few inches of the tube, because the longer the tube is, as the charge temperature approaches ambient temperature, it will exchange very little heat.

I know that the vertical flow will out flow a horizontal size for size
but in most cases you will have a hard time finding the limits of the
horizontal flow IC.

Do this, take the height X the width of a tube and X’s it by the # of tubes
and subtract 25% for fine area and you will find that a 12” tall 4” thick core
will have a lot more area than a 3” round tube.

Here’s a link to a tech vender using a horizontal flow IC on a fast car.
I think this will show what a horizontal flow is capable of.

if you mass produce it you can get the cost down of the bell to 600 bucks or so. making custom stuff is always more expensive
