Alum. 402-vs-376 for D1 & Twin Intercoolers - Which would you choose?
Which short block would you choose and why? Considering a LS2 402 and an LS3 376 (w/stock crank) cost about the same (from what I have found anyways). Will the two make about the same power considering everthing else equal, with the 402 making more area under the curve?
Set up would consist of a D1, 4.5" twin ATI intercoolers, 1-3/4" headers, LS6 intake w/ported TB all pushing a 4000lb TA. This is mostly a street car with some track duty.
Whats appealing about the LS3 is the large bore which lends itself to larger valves in the heads, and less shrouding. Also allows for future upgrade of the top end to LS3 heads and intake. However, the larger cubes and longer stroke of the LS2 402 with a good set of cathedral port heads may be more suited for the 2-tons-O-fun its trying to push.
I don't know, just looking for some opinions.

Haha love the S/N "No Juice" anyway, I remember not too long ago on my build when I was deciding whether to do a 370 or a 402 on my turbo build. Here is what I did, decide on how high you want to spin your motor. If you don't plan on going over 6500RPM, the 402 would be the better choice (long strokes like lower revs), however, if you want a 7000+RPM screamer, the 376 will be the better choice as the shorter stroke is better suited for those higher engine speeds. I went with a 370, with my cam I shift 6700-7000. Good luck on your choice, can't go wrong either way.
