lq9 ? ill be picking up a LQ9 in a few weeks,and was thinking about boosting it but dont know what ill have to change on the motor to make right. what all will i have to swap before i could start the build? while also not killing my bank account?

Well, what are your goals? Are you running meth + pump gas or just pump gas? Do you want to put down over 600whp? If you want to just run pump gas the key is to lower compression, a good CR is around 9.3-9.7. If you want to get over 600whp reliably you will need upgraded internals. Its always a good practice to upgrade the valve springs, pushrods, timing chain and oil pump while youre at it. Just like CalSpeed said, an lq4 is about a half point lower CR from the start(9.4:1!!) but if you are getting a killer deal on an lq9, then by all means get it. The lq9 weighs more being that its all iron though

i want to build it to get around 600 on just pump gas. im getting a hell of a deal on the lq9 so i couldnt resist. i want to procharge it,but i have no idea on what parts i would have to upgrade.
