Im in the middle of building my own sdce setup and I had to stop because the belt looks like it is not going to clear the pump. To me it looks like its going to take a 98 or ls3 pump with the flat faced pulley to get the belt to clear.

^^Yep. I have Aster's custom J-Bracket and am using a 7.25" SDCE CP / 4.25" BP since I have an F1A. If i had a D1SC, I would've had to use the 7.65" ATI CP which would require one of the above water pumps in order to max the blower.

SDCE says it will work. I am going to look at it myself and check the clearance.

Yes it is a 8 rib, and you have to use a ati crank pully. I bought the entire D1 kit from them, I think the spring tentioner, crank pully, blower pully in the 8 rib was a $600 dollar upgrade.

I think you have to shim the pulley away from the balencer also. I think i remember there being an alignment issue when I tried running the 7.65 and the SDCE

It wont work with Mezeires water pump because it sits out farther out and the dummy pulley is bigger than the stock one. A remote pump would work.
