I would have harland sharp rebuild your stock rockers.

Yep, cheaper than other options out there & have been proven to hold up. Great bang for the buck upgrade.

It's not if you just send in a cheapo used set, read this link. I wouldn't buy a brand new set outright. You can grab a used set for like $40-60 & send those in.

I run the comp cams setup. Full roller rockers, guide plates, adjustable. I have had no problems with them. The 1.75 ratio takes a .550 lift cam up to the .570's

Yes, stock rockers have been known to let loose & allow needle bearings to get into places they shouldn't.

This upgrade from Harland fixes that potiential problem & Comp also offers a kit.

If you do use the Comp Kit, you will need shorter bolts. The Harland Sharps are already done, and come with the bolts.

Next up are the Yella Terra's they are a good price. For almost any app, the stockers with upgrade will work.

i'm always going to reccommend a full roller rocker over a stocker-helps alot with valve guide wear.

While Jesel and T&D's are the best rockers out there, they are really unsuited for a hyd roller setup. They are rather heavy on the nose raising the possibilty of valve float.

Not to mention i've seen more jesels break than any other rocker out there.Might have something to do with the setup, but it happends a lot.

I keep hearing about these broken Jesel's but have only ever seen 2 broken rockers-these just had hairline cracks at the tips.I got a couple sets that have over 1000 passes on with 800+ lift cams.

I agree with Shawn. I've built a few combo's extremely close to yours and run stock rockers. The downside of stock rockers is that they will wear down the guides on AFR heads. You can shim the rocker rails up about .040-.060" and it will help the wear problem.

Very interesting, learn something new everyday!

Is this true with all of Jesel's rockers? Or are you only speaking of the SS rockers?
