Default iat sensor help please Speed density

If i run a speed density tune do i need a intake air temp sensor, and if so does anyone know where to get one that threads in? Thanks Eric.

You can get one from FAST. They have a threaded type that we use at the shop. I think they are like 20 bucks or something like that.

I have mine resistored out at 77*. When the car sits, the IAT gets heatsoaked and causes a warm start lean condition until enough air moves across it to cool it off.

I use the syclone IAT sensor. Here you are.

got it at advanced auto parts for like 15 bucks or something

i need one also but stupid question...how compatible is this is lsx harness? Reason asking is im gonna need to get a harness made for my swap so will i need to tell um its for a syclone or is it a universal GM plug?

Thanks for all your help i got one at advanced auto. Now i just need to get a 3/8 npt or 3/8 18 thread weld in bung. Again thanks for the quick responses, Eric.

If you get just a solid piece of aluminum you can drill and tap it yourself, that's what I did

I bought a 5 dollar bung and had it tig welded to my charge pipe.

I also bought an aluminum bung from summit and welded it in. I bought my IAT sensor from Frost (Steve Williams) Its supposed to be very similar to the syclone sensor but updated/a little better. Also where you place it matters you dont want it to be too close to another heat source and throw off the readings, just make sure its after the intercooler.
