on my 6 rib I only got 4lbs, I bought a MMS 7.25 crank pulley and a 3.4 blower. Hoping for 10-12 lbs of boost.

I had problems with blow-off valves leaking. Prochargers standard(cheap) model always leak and should be replaced with a real blow-off valve like the turbosmart or similar. Vortech blow-off valves have problem with the sealing o-ring coming loose.

After building a leak test adapter I have found that every Procharger (P, D, F) model and Vortech V1, V2, V3 and V7 leaks in the area there you can loosen the bolts to rotate the output pipe in the direction you want. I have put high-temp silicon to seal around the flange and problem gone.

How much boost the blower can produce depends on many variables.
* Cubic inch. The larger the engine the less boost it will make with a supercharger.
* Headers and exhaust. A better flowing system will produce less boost, requires a smaller pulley to regain the loss in boost. Ultimately though, more power will be gained.
* Camshaft and heads. A camshaft with some overlap will leak out some boost through the valves. Better flowing heads react a lot like a better flowing exhaust system.
* Altitude. Elevation plays a big part in how much boost is produced. Those people living in the higher elevations have to spin the blower harder to see boost.
* Condition of engine. An engine with real good sealing rings will ultimately produce more boost than one with worn rings.
* Rpm. An engine that is spun up higher in the rpm range will normally produce more boost.

Did you order your ProCharger new? If you did, whoever you ordered it through should of asked you the above questions, and asked you how much boost you want to make. Bob

Well that will do it. Blower belt breakage should never happen, you'll have to look to see what caused it. The first thing to look for with the six rib f body kit is to see if the crank pulley has not loosened up. Bob
