Default Spark Plugs and Wires help

Only seen this topic touched on once...

I see a lot of ppl going with TR6's

1. What type of plug are you using?
2. What gap are you using?
3. What wires are you using?
4. Misc info that could assist in the reasoning for the choice

Thanks for the info!!

TR6 4177 gapped at .032/.035

MSD Plug Wires don't seem to work as well on LS engines as the Taylor plug wires. The MSD's don't seem to click onto the plugs. Bob

We've used the 4177 TR6 plugs at 18 to 20 psi of boost without any problems.
We use these one step colder plugs on practically everything we add boost to. Bob

I use GMPP wires red ones. They seem to click on good being basically oem. I use the stock heat shields. I run autolite 103 temporarily as they were out of stock of tr6ix iridiums which was going to run for low boost like under 10psi. I have them gapped at .028 or .030 forget already.
This season will be taking it up a lot on boost possibly up to 20psi and am planning to run tr8ix iridiums. You can usually get away with a heat range colder with the iridiums and not have fouling at low speeds in daily driving. I may go down to tr7ix.
I hate changing plugs especially number 8 so don't like the copper ones like tr6 as they require a lot more frequent changing.

I run tr6's at .025 and build my own wires using msd 2400 ends.

they do not "click in" like the stockers but I have never had any problems.

My experience was just the opposite...Taylor wires had trouble clicking on and actually one got ripped apart. I haven't had any problems with my MSD wires and I swap plugs every oil change just because they are so cheap.

tr6 gapped to .030 w/msd wires. No trouble clicking on here, except one but thats due to a physical issue.
