Default FMIC Build Help Needed

I'm ditching the twin 3"ati intercoolers and going to a front mount for my 100% daily driver. I've searched the forums and have a good starting point as far as size and how to route the plumbing, but a few questions still remain.

I would consider a kit instead, but EPP doesn't make one anymore and I haven't heard of any others.

Which pipe is better steel or aluminum?
Where to mount temp/pressure sensor?
Blow-off valve or bypass valve? Which brand? What is quiet (street driven convertible)?

Anyone have problems with their intercooler cracking when mounted rigid to rails? I didn't notice any rubber bushings in the pictures posted and wonder if vibration or heat cycling fatigues it. I've got solid motor mounts so high frequency vibrations carry into the rails.

I am about to upgrade my TTI intercooler with a bigger FMIC. I am interested to see what you come up with for yours.

Not sure what your power goals are, but heres mine. You can do something similar. Fits fine in the stock bumper. Mine happens to be for sale as well.

Its custom. The builder purchased the core and then welded the end tanks, etc.
