Default Turbo Questions

I have a lq4 and wanna ask couple things before I start turbo build
will a trex cam work good with a 76mm or is it not a good turbo cam
are stock 241s on a stock shortblock to much compression to run a 76mm turbo
and last can I use the oil cooler lines for oil feed and drain back

I dont think the trex is optimal for an FI app. I would look into the EPP blower cam or talk to Pat G or some other sponsors on here.

The 241s will be ok, but a set of 317s will get your compression down a little but. You will still make good power with 241s though.

Most people ditch the lines altogether and just get the block off plate tapped, you can use that as the feed line just fine for the turbo but the drain line will have to be a gravity feed to the timing chain cover or the oil pan. Or you can always get a pump for the drain and place it anywhere you want.

Ah ok, you can delete the oil cooler lines very easily and replace it with a plate that can be used easily for a feed line.
