Default UPDATE: LS9 ZR1 camshaft & Maggie 122 W/Videos

Well I got the Maggie 122 finally installed over the weekend. I was really anxious to get the tuning started to see how the LS9 ZR1 cam would respond. All I have to say is WOW!!!!. I haven't done a dyno yet, but I've been logging and tuning all weekend and so far it's amazing. I'm having Steve Williams of tunedbyfrost and LSxtuning do my tune. He has done an amazing job so far. He is doing a MAF tune and we've almost got the MAF maxed out (not sure what specs are maxed). He's been able to get a ton of power out of this setup. I'm getting 8-9psi out of the setup so far on a 2.8 pulley. We spent all day logging and emailing back and forth and so far every little change he makes is making a nice difference in performance. We did an estimated guess on the rwhp with the injector duty cycle and a few other specs and we came up with about 538 rwhp. From the other setups we compared the calculation to, they all came out really close to the actually dyno numbers. It is still running very rich up past 4k rpms so I think we will be able to pull some more out of it before its all said and done. I'm hoping to dyno it this weekend and see what numbers it's actually putting down.

I think the only thing really holding my motor back is the heads. When I get some more money that will probably be my next purchase.

Setup info:
LQ4 6.0 iron block w/stock internals @ 9.8:1 compresison
241 heads w/ls6 valve springs
LS9 ZR1 cam (211/230 .558/.552 122.5 LSA)
Kooks 1 7/8 LTs w/catless 3" exhaust & Magnaflow mufflers
160 thermostat
ColdAirInductions CAI
Maggie 122 w/1:1 rear pullies, 2.8 front pulley, stock crank pulley
9psi max
60lb injectors
LPE hi-flow fuel pump

65-100mph pull

Sounds almost exactly like stock. There is a very very slight hint of a lope, Nothing you would notice unless you are trying to.

I like the Magnacharger way better. The power is about the same, but I'm getting about 12mpg better with this setup...

That's insane, I should have done this with my LQ4 in retrospect, looks like you've got plenty of passing power!
