Default Yet another turbo build, but keepinq a/c !

For the past 2 years, I've been dumping way too much money into this car, but it's FINALLY starting to come together. I have not seen anyone run the hot-side tubing quite the same way (not sure if that's good or bad), so thought I'd post pics of something being done "a little different". It's still got a couple months to go until it's completed (having a stainless tank built, and going to order a MWC fab 9/waveloc/ with watts link). It's a 5.3 with ported 6.0 heads, 03 z06 cam, FLT level 5 4l80e w/Circle D 3400 stall, MP t-76, and too many other parts to list here. I'm hoping to hit 15psi and get into the 10s with this current setup. The goal here was to get all of the turbo and labor-intensive swap stuff done here, so that in a couple of years I can install a built 408 and not have so many headaches to deal with at that time.

Anyway...here she is:

Thanks. It's been a real PITA to figure it all out. At first, I had my mind set on a 4" dump, but there was no way we could find to make it all work AND keep the a/c...so 3" is being used. The next trick will be figuring out how to use the 4" Cat in the system (yep, it is going to be DEQ'd), and then run dual 3" all the way out through a pair pf stainless Spintechs. All of the hot-side piping will be purge tig-welded this weekend, and then polished. I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out. After that, it will be some creative routing of the charge piping.

Thanks for all the kind responses. The truth is, if it were not for a fabricator/painter friend of mine, this car would probably not have come together for another 2 years. I had to pony up the $$$ to obtain his services (after all, his time is $$$ when he does this stuff for a living), but he's been more than fair with me throughout all of this. I built the engine, did the wiring, and spent the $$$$....he just laughed at me (and still does...thanks, Scott) for being crazy while he fabbed all the hot-side stuff and misc needed work on the car. I'm just glad to see it all going together.

More progress.....hoping to have the car done in about a month now. Exhaust was a biatch, and finishing fuel system is next on the list. Stainless tank turned out better than expected, but waiting for parts sucks!

can you upload the pics to photobucket.com? then you can paste in the links from there. use the IMG link and copy paste it in your post, then your pics will right sized. Love that you are keeping the A/C, keep it up!

Yeah, I just don't feel like messing with pic hosting services. The A/C has been a real pain to keep, but it looks like it's working out....just hope the car cools down once it's all in place LOL
