Anyone using a turned crank?
Well I ended up with the wrong crank and now I have to find another, that I can afford, for my engine build. It will be a 9.2CR 365ci Iron Block. I'm wanting to know if any of you are using one, how much is it turned, any problems, and what power/boost levels are you guys at? Thanks

Most used cranks are turned 10/10 to clean and true up journals. The loss of strength is very small. I have seen 900 HP mentioned as a limit for stock nodular iron LS cranks. There are methods to harden the surface of the journals after the grind. I think one is called pachardizing?

well the guy told me "it was turned about the minimum you can go, and still use factory bearings." either way, with it being turned & polished and the deal I'm getting will be worth buying it, even if the shop has to mic it. thanks everyone!
