Default LS2Formula goes 7.95 @ 177.5 on E85 and DR's

What an awesome night of racing!!! First of all, we want to thank the guys at Palm Beach International Raceway. We got the full VIP treatment tonite. We got 8 passes. Our first order of business was to make sure that the input shaft wouldn't break again. The new beefy input shaft seems to have done the trick.

Second, big thanks to Greg @ FTI for the kick *** converter. That thing is WORKING like a champ!

The next order of business was to figure out the boost controller ramps to find the right combo to 60' well without going up on the bumper. I think that we found the launch boost and ramp rate. Track surface was outstanding. Never broke loose.

There is a bunch of video from the night. I'll post them as they turn up.

Details on the setup are here:

Yeah, you guys have probably put together, tested, and run the quickest 7 second pass I've seen. 5 months is amazing progress on getting something of this caliber together.

I dont think Steve's heart could have taken it taking any more time. After the 8.06 pass, we had a small problem that almost ended the night for us. Charge pipe blow off the TB so hard that it ripped the little lock tab off the quikconnect vac/boost ref fitting for the BOV and smashed the radiator. We didn't have another fitting but were able to rig something up. Because his trans stays loaded on deccel we were affraid that he could bend the TB blade at the end of the track. Also was thinking that 26 psi may have pushed the BOV open without the boost assist on the back. We rigged some **** up and back he went to the line. Next pass came out beautifull and then laid over when he pulled 2nd. I think the computer glitched out or something because we couldn't find a problem after that run and tried it again. BAM. 7 sec pass.

Right now he is on a MT 325/50/15 drag radial. We didn;t even check pressure but we usually run them around 18-19 psi all the time. Street and track. I would like to throw a set of 275's on there to see how they work and try for a 4.99 in the 8th.

With the 3.25 gear, we dont spin over 7600 RPM. The solid roller setup was left over from the nitrous clusterfuck but it doesnt hurt.

Many guys never get the opportunity to be involved in a project like this. While I have spent some time wrenching on this thing, most of my work has been done behind the keyboard between researching, spec'ing things out and tuning. It's the stuff that I like and Steve was good enough to believe in me as this turbo **** was all really foreign territory for both of us only a short year or so ago.

HUGE THANKS TO ALL THE GUYS THAT HAVE CONTRIBUTED ALONG THE WAY HERE ON TECH. Almost everything that I have learned came from here. Years ago a guy would have had to figure all this **** out on his own. This is the main reason that I felt compelled to do the build thread. To give a little back. Thx again everyone.
