Default Higher elevation = moore boost?

hello i have stock lt1 with turbo running 6 psi.
I live at 5000 ft elevation where atmospheric pressure is 12.3 psi vs 14.7 psi at sea level. so i was wondering if i run around 8.4 psi will it be about the same as 6 psi on sea level?( 12.3+8.4=20.7 and 14.7+6=20.7)
Thanks ahead!

im not sure of the exact amount..but yes. those of us who are up higher in altitude can run a little more boost due to the lack of oxygen.
