I know how people are worried about there a/c but are willing to let it go because of the location of the compressor and the routing of exhaust hotside tubing. What about using an electrical compressor from lets say a hybrid and mounting it where ever like where the battery is. You would have the best of both worlds. the only problem I foresee is possibly controlling the compressor, but that should be easy.

Just send Josh some of your money for one of his kits and he'll make it happen. He's probably cursing my name as he reads this, but he can do it. It probably sucks, but he's a turbo ***** he'll do anything for money lol. Just kidding Josh. Anyways give him a call he's got all kinds of crazy ideas.

hmmm... well the speed of a dc motor can be easily controlled, but the problem with the electric compressor would be the amps it would pull against your cars electrical system. Hybrids have something that a "convetional" vehicle wouldnt, and that would be some serious battery power/ reserve to operate the compressor. I think you would spend more and do more electrical damage in the long run doing this than if you just spent the money on the right parts for a turbo kit that allows you to retain AC.

you would prob end up running dual alternators to supply all that power, which would completely negate the whole thing in the first place, just run a c6 manifold or turbo headers, its been done hundreds of times.

how much HP do you think it takes to drive a PS pump vs an AC compressor? I bet the AC compressor takes double if not more power to operate. Trans am and late model guys run PS pumps off of the rear end too, but I wouldnt put a AC compressor there

With that being said. Yes keep the A/C is a viable option well nto the realm of 1200+rwhp. What the hell, You can keep all you power accseories. All it takes is my time and your $$$$. There is no free luch in the game.
I have become the LS1 Turbo ***** I guess. I will claim that for all its worth, and then some. Just comes with the territory.
One off are where its at. I will fit what ever turbo you want under the hood of you LS1 F-Body. I will make it work with the A/C.

I have seen a LOT of race cars running the alternator of the rear end (IRS setups). again if frees up space and probably keep the alternator a little cooler.
