Default possible to keep A/C with turbo setup?

I'm sure this has been asked, but I didn't find it in the search.

I'm looking to possibly turbo my 02 Z28 and I'm wondering if there are any kits out there that are reliable, but will still allow me to keep A/C on the car?

I'm hesitant to go with the STS system.....and I really don't want to go to a Maggie and cut the cowl.

Thanks in advance for the info!

Mines quite fugly compared with the above but the car has been sitting for 2.5 yrs and I was the fabricator. It was relatively cheap to make, just not cheap to support the extra tq.

edit...dangit that's a tiny pic..

love the car, but how is it as far as staying cool, with your setup (i.e. cooling fans, radiator, etc., and i also see you have two pusher fans)?

Mines got a custom single kit based on the same idea as the tti street kit, has minimal stock modification, except moving the alternator up and over to the passengers side.

I haven't had any problems with it getting hot. Yes I'm running 2 pusher fans, electric water pump, and a be cool radiator.

Hey rice it looks like you are runing the stock radiator...? I am having some over heating issues, here is a pic of my setup. As you can see the turbo is about one inch from the stock radiator, is the heat from the turbo causing it to over heat? Will a turbo blanket resolve this issue or do I just need to get a be cool radiator?

I was running a stock radiator up until here recently....when I cut the radiator support and used the same griffin (3" thick I think) that everyone on here is using.
The car did run warm (160 stat), once car heated up, the fans came on hi and stayed on....car would stay around 195ish. My turbo was also as close to my stock radiator as your is...actually closer because I didn't have room for a puller fan.
Now with the griffin and same pusher fans the car operates like it should...fans cut on and off around 160ish.

Things to consider with your set-up...the stock ls1 fans pull a tremendous amount of air, I think someone quoted 3400-3600cfm and have a good shroud design, covering all of the radiator. Can't tell if you only have one fan or not but if so you need to cover as much of that radiator as possible (make a sheetmetal shroud) and try to get as close to the cfm noted above. I have two pushers which aren't ideal (pulling is better, especially with the condensor there) and I have sealed up as much as I can inbetween the rad and cond to force the air thru the radiator.
I have a turbo blanket and wrapped the hotside and do believe it cut the underhood temps a noticeable amount which I would think could only help the cooling capacity of the car.

Rice, I do have two "pulling" fans on the stock radiator. I cut the suport from the bottom in order to drop the rad to line up with the top of the rad suport. I am going to get the turbo blanket and some heat wrap and try that this weekend. What Griffin rad are you using? Did you have to cut the whole top section of the suport for the 3"?

Thanks
