Default With a Maggie and a Yank3600 Converter, will I feel the low end torque its known for?

Talking to a local engine guy and he was recommending a procharger over a maggie because he was saying that considering the maggie produces great low end torque, I may not realize it as much with the yank3600 converter. Is this true? What do you guys think?

Would the procharger be any different?

Thanks in advance

His statement might have merrit. I think you'll be wasting away a lot of your power with that size stall speed. But if you are set on a roots style blower, it's not difficult to put in a different converter.

Ok, so it sounds like the procharger would be a better bet with my stall?

I had a really sloppy loose Fuddle 3400, in my car and I definitely felt the low end torque. Getting the car moving from a stop took revving higher than what I was used to, but once I was in boost, it took off like a scalded dog, smokin tires and squatting like a hunter shittin in the woods.

With a Maggie I would get as tight a stall as I could (maybe stock). I love tight converters as long as there is power in the low range. I had a 2600 for a long time (sold the PY3400e, way too loose for me). I run a SC3000 now because I run an 80, it's not too bad but I wouldn't want it any looser.

If your 3600 stall feels as tight as stock there is something wrong with it. A stall # is a stall #, nothing in the computer has any control over it. Sure you could play with the timing to make it more or less responsive. Hell my 3000 feels loose to me, I know I'm different than most on here who seem to prefer large stalls.
