Default Quick question about procharger bypass valves

I see that the two bypass valves that Procharger currently is offers is the Proflo (black) bypass and the race (red) bypass. The kit I have installed has a crappy looking white plastic bypass valve on it. I'm assuming its along the same lines as the Proflo bypass, but is it the same? Would there be any benefit to switching to Proflo? It seems to work fine, just wondering if there's a difference...

As far as I know the proflo one is just a metal version of the older plastic ones. I doubt it would be much better for you. At 8 psi you don't need the race valve, unless you plan on going with more boost.

For your situation, the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" saying holds.

OK, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing out on something cool. LOL. I am switching to the SDCE 8-rib setup and I may be making closer to 10psi, but I doubt I'd even need the race version at that level.

I got the race open bypass vavle for the sound.

I considered going to the race version or even a BOV, but really only because I'm skeptical about recirculating already warmed air back into the system again with the stock setup. Doesn't seem very efficient to me.

SDCE told me when I bought my kit the pro flow is good to around 10#'s. SO if your going to to a 8 rib and a pully size change you might want to start saving for one.
