Default PTK/Ebay Kit spark plug wires - Anyone try LS2 Corvette Plugs?

Wondering what you guys are using for the driver side header since the 2 middle plugs are so close/touching the header.

Ive melted thru 4 plugs already. Went with the thicker MSD 8.5 thinking they would withstand the heat but was wrong.

Has anyone tried to LS2 Corvette plugs? Do they clear the 2 middle ones?

I ran for a while with just 8.5 MSD plugs, no problems. I have some heatshields on them now.

Thermo-Tec makes some heat shields made for plug wires that are rated for 2000 Deg. I ordered a set for mine since they are about the price of a new set of plugs, so what the eff why not...

Believe I used these. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/DEI-010512/

No problems from them yet. Also headers are wrapped.

I ran MSD wires with some heat sleeving and used stainless ties (like the header wrap is secured with) through slots on the coil brackets to pull a bend in the two on the driver's side that wanted to get on the pipe. They lived the 8K miles I had the setup before I sold the car.

I used the stock shields on my MSD plugs.. I just pulled the shield up farther on the plug boot and because the boot gets bigger, it holds it in place once you get it snug so it doesn't just vibrate back down.
a'okay on my end so far.

I am running stock plug wires from a 04 envoy. The look exactly like those corvette wires above. I picked up a set from advanced for $30. You will still have to wire tie the middle 2 wires up to the coil packs. I havent burnt one yet.

Fire core 50 makes the best wires around. The feel of the boot when plugging them in, the large number of boot options and the heat shields are off the hook.
