Default SDCE or lsxsolutions tensioner for F1A?

looking to run a F1A on a 427ci lsx for my 2002 camaro street/strip car. out of three tensioners(SDCE,LSXSOLUTIONS,ASTER) wondering which tensoiner would better for daily driver and lots of track abuse? which one for longivity and belt slip? who has more pulley options? i hear good things about the SDCE, but haven't heard much on the LSXSOLUTIONS or ASTER tensioner. any input will help. thanks

The LSXsolutions. Its a brand new bracket and it uses the extra bolt hole for the headunit to mount to. There is also alot more belt wrap using that one too. Im running it and I have 0 belt slip now.

Im happy with my SDCE. That said, the LSX setup appears to be Aster's bracket. Do a search on that or just his username Aster for more info. If you want to go the LSX route though, you will be changing your waterpump as well.

the waterpump won't be an issue because i plan on putting a new LS3 waterpump on the new motor anyway.

People say how great it is that the aster bracket uses the extra hole, but the SCDE does too. Only not for a 6th bolt on the J bracket to head unit. They supply an angle brace that ties the outter edge of the blower to the block. That provides a LOT more stability IMO.....

Get some steel stand-offs too. I bent an aluminum one on my first dyno pull. But then I have an LQ9 block that only has 2 mounting holes.....but we fixed that by making a custom bracket that ties the top to the water pump / head & have had no problems since.

Not sure yet Bob. I just had a car show quality paint job put on it so I haven't had a chance to dyno or race it since I installed the springs I got from you & a cutout. But I just test fit some Hoosier QTP 28x13.50 15s so I'm about to find out.

I did win a car show with it last weekend tho.
