Default Some pics of my water to air when car is running

Hey guys I just thought I would post some pics of my intercooler actually freezing up while we were dynoing. It brought the iat's down 80 degrees!

Hey what Ive got is a 3 gal. resevoir to a 3 gpm boat washdown pump then to a 3 x 3 x 14" fluidyne cooler welded into distribution box that both of my charge pipes go into and I tried to use several different mixes (all froze solid) and finally went with straight meth. j

I tried to put 20#'s in when it was on the dyno but it boiled the hot meth so much it was throwing it out the vents but that was with 3gals in the entire system now I have 2 gals so I should be able to control it a little better. j

I think it would be intresting to see what would happen with a proper FMIC and maybe an additional chargecooler core would do! then you wouldn have two 12x3x3 inch cores as well as a nice front mount to help with cooling!

Do you have to add the dry ice slowly? I never thought about the boiling!

Chris.

I dont know if I would have enough room for a fmic and chiller unless I could use a fmic and take it apart and weld the chiller core on the outlet side which could possibly work Ill have to think about that one alittle bit also yes you do have to put the dryice in kinda slow if the meth is warm but if its say 50f or below you can throw it on in and the boil stays to a minimum. j

I'm not a turner by any means and was wondering. What happens when you tune with really cold iat's, and then the iat's raise to say 30-40*. Like using ice at the track and just water on the street. Will it be richer at higher temps with less dense air? I'll have a w2a on the new setup and was thinking about that. I'm also speed density. Will the engine pull timing with higher iats?
