Default Vortech T trim Vs Procharger D1SC

I'm currently running a vortech t-trim on my 383 lt1 stroker motor. Seems like the big power usually kicks on late rpm like 3k and up starts pulling. I was thinking about going with a Procharger D1SC unit... Would there be a huge difference in performance.. Would I have more instant power from a stop/roll over the t-trim. Just want something to give me more power at lower rpm then the t-trim

I believe the D1SC would start to build power at 3k also. Don't quote me on that though.

you can pulley the unit for max impeller speed and install a waste gate to bleed of the excess boost.

You are never going to get a big low-end punch with a centrifugal blower. It would be a lot cheaper to hook up an inexpensive nitrous kit with a 25 or 50 shot and use it through ~4500 rpm. Changing from a T-trim to a D1SC will net you almost nothing - they are very similar in size and cfm rating.

Even using danbap's idea from above just makes the boost rate go up a bit faster - you really can't pulley well for this unless you get a 9+" crank pulley - and you end up wasting work by spinning the head unit and dumping excess boost.

THe other thing you can do is keep your T-trim and build a 427ci motor to strap it to
Low end will not be a problem, traction will.

I agree with "DeltaT" if you want more low end grunt, build a bigger stronger motor..
My d1sc kicks in at around 3k but my low end grunt is pretty good, plus when do you need grunt under 3k? even from a dead stop you are only beneath 3k for a hot second?

FYI: When you add forged internals to these engines and run a smaller blower pulley on a centrifical supercharger to up the boost, you'll notice the boost comes in much sooner as the blower is being spun faster. Bob
