Arrow 5.3 Help.....

Alright well i just picked up a 2006 5.3 shortblock out of a trailblazer for $300 for my turbo build but i have some questions.....

I was told all i need for the swap was to hook everything back up and i would be golden but from just looking at the motor im beginning to think i was told wrong.....

Im assumming thats a cam sensor on the timing cover not really sure on how that goin to work?

I also have no clue on how im going to hook up the knock sensors/oil pressure sensor as well?

I posted here since there are so many 5.3 swap/builds in the forced induction section , I have searched but didnt find what i was looking for if anybody can help a newb out that would be great.....

Thanks....

That would be a Gen 4 block, 58 tooth reluctor. You are gonna need gen 4 sensors most likely.

If it has a 58x reluctor you will need this http://www.lingenfelter.com/mm5/merc...gory_Code=C163

its not all bad dude. all you gotta do is extend wires and possibly buy new pigtails for the sonsors. also you will need the coversion box in the above post. or you can just swap crank and crank sensor for the one in your 346. that's what i did with my 2006 LQ4.

06 Trailblazer has a 24x wheel, they went 58 in 2007 not the same as the cars. To be sure just look to see that the crank sensor itself is black. If so just extend your cam sensor harness, which is no sweat.
