How often do you clean your air filter??

Default How often do you clean your air filter??

im currently running a d1sc with the bigger k&n and the small on on the bypass hole i put about 4k miles on my setup since it was installed and it looks like it should be cleaned i am running the big red race and the bypass is near the air filter....anyone else have to clean their k&n that ofter or has anyone switched to a dry filter for that reason any info would be helpful thanks

When runnig forced induction & you are not running a recirculationg bypass valve, you pull a ton of air through the filter & vent it out the bypass valve back to the atmosphere.

This means your supercharger is pulling the same volume as if you were at full throttle, but it is not going in the engine. Your filter probably cleaned enough air for 50K miles of driving in just a few months.

It is advisible to clean the filter frequently, because if it gets restrictive,the supercharger will likely collapse it.
