Default My silverado front mount turbo build!

although this is not a car im sure you guys will enjoy the thread anyways

ive had this silverado since it was new and in the begginning it had bolt on's,tci 3500 and tr224. ran pretty good with a best of 8.26 with 1.80 60'. after that i switched over to a pat g cam,prc 5.3 heads and a cirlce d 3800 with 150 shot which got me down to the 7.20's at around 94. it was definitley fast but i didnt like the idea of the power not always being there so this is when i decided to go with boost!

my ultimate goal is to have the record for the fastest 5.3 in the world which is 10.8x by an NNBS truck but as long as i get in the 10's period i will have the NBS record.

here is what my build consist of

5.3 stock shortblock
arp accessories
stock heads
valvtrain upgrade
built 60
cirlce D 2c (might haft to loosen it up)
342's
bogarts 325/50's out back
Caltracs
3 bar SD
KB racing front mount turbo kit with S465 borg warner turbo T6
50-75 shot (out the gate)
60lb injectors
single 255 walbro (might need another)
Turbo cam

i would love to 60' in the 1.50's so i am considering a 2 step and looser converter and possibly E85 for overall HP gains! if i can 60' anywere close to that im sure 10's will be in the bag!

here are some pics

well its a decision me and blown06 will be making but im leaning towards e85. lm7 compression is 9.5:1 with 61cc head ad im running an ls1 66cc head so im gonna say 8.8-9:1?

if i would have known i was going e85 i would have left the stock heads

any bigger height wise it would be touching the ground lol once you put the valence on the front its exactly flush with the intercooler so if i here the valence scrape then my intercooler just went bye bye. thats once of the reasons why i went with a 28.5" tire up front cause it had a 26' and it just wasnt happening. im wanting to put a 295/65
