what do you guys think the limit is on a stock ls1 aluminum block and a stock crank? at what point would it start pushing water with arp head studs and MLS gaskets?

That's a loaded question, it's not really the amount of boost but cyclinder pressure, do a search there is some threads that have personal experience with this issue.

what about this, could i push it over 25lbs if i have zero knock and be able to keep the heads down for a couple of passes?

Well I don't think u will make it through the burn out. 18psi with a ton of meth and a little race fuel added u might make a pass

I wouldnt even think of doing that, but there truly is only one way to find out.. Try it and let us know how that works out for ya

the car has been making 18 for the past 20 passes on pump gas with no meth and no knock, im looking to turn it up a little

the motor has forged rods and pistons and 317's with studs. im just wondering what the block will hold, i know the stock cranks can be good to around 1000hp

Just turn it up little by little. Pushing a little water isn't the end of the world. Keeping the RPMs down will help stretch it out.

thats what i had planned on, im shifting the car around 6400-6500, anything over that it just feels dead with the stock cam in it
