Default NBM-LS1's Front Mount Build! UPDATE **8/16/2012**VID**

**EDIT** Ditched the LS2 route and stuck with the LS1. Compstar connecting rods, Wiseco pistons and ARP all over. twin 255's and some other things.

So I'm starting on my turbo build and have a few questions as well. Installing a KYTP kit here shortly. The engine is going to be a forged LS2.

Setup will be:

GT80 KYTP kit w/ 4" dp
BMR turbo k-member
ID1000 injectors

Now here are my questions:

Radiator- Keep the stocker or go with an after market one? Im going to have to convert the stock slanted location to upright.

Condenser- Can I use a stock one or am I going to have to find a custom size one. I would prefer to keep my a/c.

Fuel pumps- Josh at KYTP suggested running out of tank pumps but I would prefer to keep an in-tank unit. How much power will twin Walboro 255 pumps support on the stock fuel lines? Will I need a fuel pressure regulator?

Fuel injectors- Obviously 80lb injectors. Any specific brand.

Spark Plugs- Which kind?

IMO i would go with a nice Griffin unit to keep thing's kool as far as a condensor im not sure i would think the stock one would be fine.....Twin intake pumps should support 1000whp and deff. go with a regulator and for injector choice Semens are pretty good from what i see!

G/L and post some pics!

Twin Walboros on the stock fuel lines and fuel rail should be adequate right?

imo the stock 3/8 lines would not support 1000hp. 1/2 should.

stock lines have been rumored to go to 1000 hp but if you already have that much money in it, why not go -8 or -10? i use -8 in mine with twin Walbros and not even close to maxing it out at 670 hp.

I think your best bet is to run an 8 AN feed and use the stock as a return line. gonna need aftermarket rails and a Fuel Pressure regulator. The Fuel system is not the place to skimp on a big build like this

Honestly 850 is what Im shooting for right now. So Ill just stick with the stock lines and move up from there.

If you're shooting for 850rwhp the stock feed should probably be changed. I was on the stock feed for mine making 808rwhp through a 4L60E, 12 bolt, and 28's, even with a 18% drivetrain loss (extremely conservative) the car was making 985 at the motor and my feed was needing to be changed. It was still getting fuel but I was maxing out injectors that I shouldn't have been. I'd do a -8an feed and use the stock feed for a return. Twin Walbros have been proven at 1000rwhp.

850 wheel or fly wheel?
i would at least ran i new feed line. the stock is like a -6. you could use that as a return but i would run a new feed and return
i run -10 to the external pump to -8 to the rails and -8 as a return
start with a tr7 plug
i would get a new radiator and stand it up for more room/ space between it and the turbo.

The LAST place you scrimp with a turbo system is the fuel feed. It will bite you bigtime.

Do it right the first time and it will save time and $$ doing it over.

Dual Walbros plumbed correctly will be fine.

-8an feed, rails, best regulator you can buy (I like Weldon) at the rails and a -6an or the factory 3/8 feed for a return. Make sure all of the fittings are pefect and correctly tightened...fuel fires at 58psi will take a car out.

So I scrubbed the original setup of a 370 and am just going to stick to a forged 347. Also going to be running a GT80 turbo. Here are some more pics of the progress.

And some goods....
