Default dumping oil out of exhaust after build

got everything together car drives fine and idles

its just dumping and smoking oil out of the 5 inch exhaust. what could this be? blown turbo? its a pt88 with less than 2k miles on it.

i have a -4 oil feed line and a -8 oil return line.

i notice that if i rev the motor it smokes more.. if its sitting still there will be fresh oil all over the ground below the exhaust

For one thing, your oil return line should be bigger than -8. Are you running a scavenging pump? Could be turbo seals.

Run a -12, always better to go as big as possible.

I doubt it, turbo seals are more like thin washers then a actual lipped seal.

I dont mean to highjack the thread but Im waiting for my turbo and I was wondering if my oil pressure (around 65-80psi cold) from my mehling oil pump is too much?

should be fine as long as you use -3or-4 feed line -12 return and plenty of fall for unrestricted flow back to the sump, and a decent crancase ventilation setup so your not pressurising the crankcase and therefore impedeing oilflow back to the sump.

I dont think that is necessarily accurate. Im going to be running a breather setup. I don't feel like having oil all in my intake again. If im running oil pressure through the turbo there should be some pressure on the drain side. and If my crank case isn't sealed there isn't any way for it to build pressure in there. Does that sound correct?

There really isn't any pressure on the drain side of the turbo once it goes thru the bearing section. If you follow the advice your getting you'll be fine. All he was saying is make sure to vent the pressure out of the motor.
