Default will my quench be to tight?

is a .037-.038 quench to tight for a boosted 8.9.1 cr motor?

I hope not because mine is at .037 as well.

so I guess not then have you been running that quench for awhile with no problems?

No issues at all concerning the quench. All is good and it has been 3k plus street miles and 15 plus dyno pulls. Best of luck!

Not to high jack the post but when do you start losing Quench? Gasket thickness?

I too would like to know, I slapped a set of LS9s on my LQ4 with 241 heads, and a local guy told me thats probably a bad idea.

correct me if im wrong but i believe to get quench u first have to measure how much ur piston is in or out the hole which is usually around .007-.008 on a ls based motor then take ur compressed head gasket thickness mine is .045 and subtract which would give me .037-.038 quench ive heard between .033 and .045 is ideal but i didnt know if it was diff when it comes to a boosted motor.
