Default truck intake

This winter ill be adding a bigger turbo cam and more boost to my lq9. Currently using ls6 cam and 9 psi, going to one of the sponsors cams and 14psi

Im trying to stick with the truck intake if i can just to keep the motor more stock looking and a lil more sneaky lol, but if the current truck intake wont do the job ill have to change it.

Anyways, for the guys still using the truck intake, at what rpm does your power start to level off? or if anyone just knows when it becomes a restriction??

With my ls6 cam it peaks hp at 5500 rpm and basically stays flat from there to 6200.

Is there anything else done to the valve train to help with higher rpms?

When the cam goes in it will get a set of dual .650 springs, and either aftermarket rockers or just keep the stock ones and get rid of the needle bearings.

i installed a 07 5.3 truck intake and put a 90mm cable driven throttle body on my lq4. it seemed like it woke the car up in top end. it is cheap alternative for larger intake.

With the right cam they hold fine to 6500.
