Default will my merge collector work pics inside

my setup consists of a dual 2.5" in to 3" single out merge collector a 6" piece of 3" od mild steel tubing formed to a t-4 flange. I might cut down the 6" piece of tubing to 3" long if i can. A concern of mine is will the 3" tubing pressed into the t-4 flange cause a restriction in flow any. And can i place the waste gate where I have a blue circle? thanks in advance

If the 3'' tube fits the i.d. of the t4 flange tight, that is the best you can do. The blue circle location is fine, just try to angle the piping so the exhaust has the easiest path to the gate, the least bend(s) possible.

it will work but the design isn't going to be very efficient. the way the two pipes meet, it's going to force the exhaust against each other causing you to lose velocity.

i learned that the hard way. except when i did it i paid $400+ for a merge made by burns stainless. it looked great but it was the shittiest design you can get. i built my own merge and the turbo spooled almost 1000 rpm quicker

That should work fine, the only other way to do it would be to use a Megs 2 into 1 collector, those megs setups are about 30 bucks for stainless. Put the wastegate on as hard of an angle as you can.

You can still use the bullets if you feel like it.

dual 2.5" into single 3.5"

When you changed your merge pipe did you change anything else that could have affected the change in your spool time. You have me nervous now. the way it is will it affect the spool time that much?

I think i see the difference between Phils and the OP's. the OP's turns the flow into each other with a slight hook from the outside resulting in the pressure KissMySSo1 is talking about. Phils is more strait, theres no curve, they look like 2 strait pipes intersecting rather than 2 pipes running parallel and turning into each other

my original merge from burns looked just like yours without the extension to the flange. i don't have a pic of it but i do have a pic of the merge that i built that worked 1,000,000 times better.
