Default winter build plan....LS camino is getting some boost!

Ive been deciding what things i wanted to accomplish over the winter this year after having the car on the road for a few months. I originally wanted to do a cam swap and maybe some spray but after some thinking over the past few weeks i want to build a low boost turbo set up using the lq4 i have in stock long block form. In my opinion a cam swap will cost (doing it the right way) close to as much as a budget turbo swap using my factory truck manifolds. My goal is 500 whp and i would like to get into the 11s...Here are some questions i have

Turbo?......i have a brand new holset hx50 laying around but i think im going with a mp70 or 76 ?....the 76 would probley keep the under hood temps lower....ive heard good things about them and tons guys on here are using them

Fuel?.....right now i have a tanks inc. in tank setup with a walbro 255 feeding -6an braided line...im also using a aeromotive a1000 reg....

What size injectors will i need? 60lbs?

Will the -6 fuel line and the 255 be enough pressure for a 6-8 psi setting?

If not could i run a in-line pusher pump? Maybe another 255?

Hot/cold side piping....? Been searching around on the internet for good places to buy manderal bends, v band clamps and flanges....who do you recomend? Im wanting to use mild steel...what gauge should i use?

Going to try and order the turbo soon to get the mock up started....Thanks

ive used, and along with A LOT of other people, Mandrelbends, just google them and they will pop right up. IE, columbia river mandrel bends.

im using 16 gauge mild steel, for the first go around, next year when the motor comes back out, ill use stainless, and make it look pretty, using mild to get the hang of learning to fabricate things.

Get 60's, another walbro intank on a hobbs switch, and upgrade to -8. What you have will prob do the trick on very low boost but its a waste to do all the work and not be able to turn it up. I dont like the small turbine on the MP76 but it is cheap and would get the job done. I used a MP GT45 which is a 69mm compressor (similiar to a T70 but larger turbine and packaging) it made 600 on a conservative tune on a 6.0. Mandrelbends should have everything you need. Race parts solutions has lots of stuff too, cheap air filters, Fragola pushlock hose, other nice items.

thanks for the input guys......so you think that -6 wouldnt support 6-8 psi

this is just a street car....i have no plans to build the bottom end....

also an inline 255 would be enough?

Fuel pressure will drop under load on the dyno or street tuning.

I think for 6-8 psi on that size turbo you can run stock lines/rails with a corvette return set up; or run a -6 w/ a stock line as a return (aftermarket rails). Either setup using dual 255's in the tank.

I'd run stock stuff until you had to change. Spend the $ on tuning.

hobbs switch is a pressure activated electrical switch (turns on second pump under boost).

The plan i outlined does not include a hobbs.

Check out the fueling section, I think dual pumps is a sticky. If not Lonnie's sells a drop in kit.

i looked up the hobbs switch....i think i would rather run my dual pumps both at once all the time.....

thanks ryan j.....i didnt think i would need -8an lines on 6-8 psi...i already have -6an for the feed an return using a a1000 reg.

anymore info for the dual walbro setup? Like a do-it-yourself write up?
sorry....im searching also...just trying to figure out what my budget is gonna be...
