heads
im putting in forged pistons and upping the boost to between 12 & 15 lbs over the winter and would like to swap out my mildly ported 853 for a different set of reasonably priced heads.
my question is: after i get my heads ported and valve train assembled does it make a difference what the casting numbers are? everything being the same will 243, 241, 853, 317 heads flow any better then the others with the exact same porting work done?
thanks for the help

I dont know if the runners are different but the combustion chambers are. 317s have 72cc chambers....and I seem to recall 853s having some cooling issues that were addressed in later versions.

of all the stock/OEM castings: does any one stand out as a better head if they all had the same port work and valve train etc.? i mean this in a boosted application.
i know this can be a tricky question considering variables like comp. ratio etc. but im asking to here from anyone with experience or even there idea/theory.
