I'm doing a 80mm turbo set up on my ws6 with a 2500hd 6.0 motor. I was wondering how much horse power the stock pistons rods and crank block can handle.

Well I have a buddy that had a tc76 on a 6.0 in his truck only mod to the engine was a ls6 cam. he made right around 600 rwhp through a 4l60 in a 4wd truck. not sure what the boost levels were. He eventually hurt a ring land on a piston,

98cobrakiller went around 10.0 with is stock lq9 before he tossed a rod out the side of the block

You will have 2 issues. keeping your tune safe to not hurt a piston and keeping your rpms down to not toss a rod

Thanks for the info guys. I guess I'll worry about rods and pistons when I have the extra cash money to switch them out.
