Default Should I buy this Garrett 88mm turbo? **Pics now added**

I just recently found out my buddy was selling a Garrett 88 mm turbo for a $1000 bucks and wondering if I should get it. He says it had 20 passes on his car and he wants to go to a 94 mm and is the reason why he is selling it. He says he wants 1400 for it but because he knows me he will let it go for a grand. It has no shaft play and the exhaust housing doesn't even have rust on it.

It is a t6 flange with a 1.08 exhaust housing and a .69 compressor housing. I will try to get some pics up.

If they are in fact 1250 knew, i would take a new one with warranty over a used race one for 1k.

GT4718 is a "4788", 88mm inducer, They're at least $1750 new for journal bearing version.
