Thanks guys I've decided on a procharger but I'm just not sure which one yet, I need a little more help I'm building a 468 out of a vortec 7.4 block for my truck. Nothing to super crazy to start with looking to put down around 700hp with room to grow. What charger do you think would be better for my application a D-1 or F-1. The base will be about 350-400hp and 6500rpm max. It's going in a 6000lbs truck so I'm trying to figure which charger is going to come into the torque curve earlier. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Spray a 100 on it out the hole and the TQ will come on at 3100rpm. Should help that Procharger get that heavy pig going.

On a 468, I would consider no smaller than a F1. A F-1D has a pretty strong midrange boost curve which works well on heavy vehicles.

I would go with the F-1R myself on a 468 BBC. Bob

Just a thought but you can likely put together a 700 hp 540 BBC for a lot less cash than building a 468 with a Procharger. Torque with this many cubes will not be an issue.

the reason im going forced induction is i want something that has better street manners when just cruising around and plan on doing a head swap later and trying to push close to 900 at wheels with great driving manners. also i already have a good gen 6, 4 bolt block factory with my truck and dont wanna stroke the **** out of it so i have to rebuild it every year because im revving it out to 6500 or greater
