Default Is this turbo too small?

So I just got a Holsett 56mm turbo for free. Is there any way to use it on my 94 LT1 and not be wasting my time? My only mods are a CAI and Magnaflow cat back.

Actually, I know the turbo is too small. Will it be worth fabricating a rear mount system for kicks and giggles until I can afford to do my motor swap and step up to a properly sized turbo?

That is a super tiny turbo I dont think it would work unless you set your rev limiter at 4000rpm!

So I would definitely have to have a second turbo to have a proper set up or still too small?

A second would probably work good, see if you can find a compressor map and see what two of those can put out.

Yes and then look on this to see how much air you need

http://www.forcedinductions.com/consumption355.htm

At 6000rpm and 15psi you need about 70lbs/min according to that, so with two turbos that is 35lbs/min each, find 35lbs on the x axis on that chart you linked, and 2.0 on the y axis and you can see it would be about perfect with two of those, right in the middle of the map. The y-axis is pressure ratio, 15psi is 2.0, 10psi is 1.66, etc

So the compressor looks good for two of those turbos on your 350, now just have to make sure the turbine flows enough, if those are off a 5.9 diesel then two of them would probably work great on a 350 engine. Search more "hx35 twin" or something like that and you'll see what people do with two of those.

I run a 60mm on my 1.6L honda. I don't think you will have any use for it unless you do a twin setup.

Well, it looks like I will be rebuilding and selling it. A twin setup is neat, but I was thinking rear mount single. I will probably just do a 67-70 mm setup at some point.

A turbo is only one item of a whole turbo kit. Someone could give you a t76 turbo for free and you would still need to spend thousands to get everything on the vehicle with the correct fuel system and tuning
